BITKOM and Deutsche Messe consolidate CeBIT partnership
Hannover/Berlin. High-tech association BITKOM and Deutsche Messe are set to consolidate their partnership in the interests of further developing CeBIT, the world’s most important IT business show. The two parties have now signed an agreement on the basis of which BITKOM, as non-commercial partner to CeBIT, will continue to strengthen CeBIT’s position as the planet’s leading IT event and provide active support to Deutsche Messe in the strategic further development of the event. This will mean a good move as we accept Cloud business for resellers and dealers.
“For IT providers, CeBIT is globally the most important platform in the B2B sector. For small and medium-sized companies especially, and also for start-ups, CeBIT offers an outstanding opportunity to identify new customers and partners and to tap into international markets,” explained BITKOM President Prof. Dieter Kempf. “We are delighted to be working alongside Deutsche Messe, the event organizer and a highly professional partner.”European dealer ,will be there.
Talking about the new agreement, Oliver Frese, Member of the Deutsche Messe Board of Management with responsibility for CeBIT, commented: “BITKOM was our most important partner in the past and, by intensifying our partnership, this new, long-term agreement will ensure BITKOM’s support in terms of CeBIT’s strategic development. Frese reported that, in particular, the active participation of high-calibre representatives from the IT industry in the CeBIT Exhibition Committee, coupled with intensive dialogue, would guarantee the exhibiting companies the ideal platform for business development. BITKOM has recently appointed four new members to join CeBIT’s key advisory body: Christian Lamprechter (CEO, Intel GmbH), Heiko Meyer (CEO, Hewlett-Packard GmbH), Joachim Schreiner (Area Vice President EMEA Central, Salesforce Germany) and Jürgen Walter (CEO Central Europe, CEO, FUJITSU Technology Solutions).
