LapCabby Deals Charge Across Europe
A company from Nottingham in the UK is expanding into Europe with a market-leading product that is already helping 8,000 British schools to properly manage the security, charging and cabling of their laptop computers.
The move follows intense interest in the LapCabby storage and charging unit from overseas visitors to an educational technology show held in London each year where a new version of the product was displayed for the first time. (The Bett show often referred to as the best showcase of UK and international educational technology products, resources and best practice.
Since then, pilot units have been sent to Austria and Spain and now the product’s electrical components have been modified for use in schools across continental Europe.
“We were overwhelmed by the level of interest in our product from dealers and resellers and schools on the continent,” said Andy Harrhy, managing director of Monarch Education Furniture, the company which makes the LapCabby.
“This triggered our interest adapting the power supply to make the LapCabby more appropriate for the European market.
“We are now about to deliver the first of these products to Barcelona and we are making progress with the development of a sales channel with dealers and resellers across the continent”.
LapCabby is the most cost effective laptop and netbook storage and charging product on the market, and is as feature-rich, robust and secure as products costing two to three times as much.
It provides the cost-effective solution to the safe and efficient management of laptops in the classroom, housing between ten and 40 computers.
LapCabby’s contemporary external design includes striking ergonomic handles and rubber corner bumpers that protect the unit, the classroom and the laptops.
Other innovative features include a Green power management system, an effective dual point locking system and keys that operate from the top of the unit to prevent them snapping when the device is bumped into walls.
LapCabby’s excellent cable management and power system is housed in a separate compartment to keep it well away from children, providing a level of safety beyond that of other products in the market.
