Toshiba updates its professional Tecra laptop portfolio

New high performance Tecra A11, Tecra S11 and Tecra M11 designed to address specific business demands 

Toshiba Computer Systems, a division of Toshiba Europe GmbH, today introduced three new models to its Tecra range of laptops: the desktop replacement, Tecra
A11, the workstation-like desktop replacement Tecra S11 and the mobile workstation Tecra M11.

These stylish yet functional laptops feature a black textured surface with contrasting chrome details. They are targeted at small and medium sized businesses (SMB) and large enterprises looking for a powerful, reliable and easy-to-use laptop platform that perfectly fits into their IT infrastructure. The new models will be available during the first quarter of 2010 throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa.

New Partners world

Following market leaders INTEL & AMD now a new player in the market.

According to recent Gartner figures, Renesas is the seventh biggest semiconductor vendor in the world and NEC Electronics is the tenth. Today they announced a merger which will create the third largest semiconductor vendor behind only Intel and Samsung.

Both companies are strong in the field of System-on-Chips (SoCs), which are mini computers found embedded in a wide variety of electronic devices.
